CURRENT MISSION
To explore, live, and find friends along the way
ABOUT ME
I have many passions in my life and follow them all as feverishly as time/money/life allows. I like to think I'm a doer and a dreamer. If you're going to be involved in my life you have to be prepared to do both. I love to travel, and even though I don't get to do it very often I have been known to skip town with little notice to follow an opportunity to see and do new things. Bike riding (the pedal kind) is a very big part of my life and I'd like to acquire more of them. A good part of my summers are spent riding the trails of Palo Duro Canyon and the streets of Amarillo. I have children who mean the world to me (there are a total of 5 yes 5 kiddos at home), a kick-ass boyfriend who can generally outpace me, and some of the best friends a girl can ask for. If you want to know anything else, just ask! :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've done a little surfing, and a lot of hosting. I would love to do more of both in the future. I honestly love hosting because even though I don't have time in my life to travel that much right now, I get to meet people from all over the world and find out different perspectives on life all the time. Besides the scenery changes, isn't that why a lot of us travel to begin with?
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've met some truly amazing people through CS. I love how random the people you come across here can be. I've hosted three groups at one time before all from the most different walks of life you can imagine. Everyone came together and shared life stories with each other and I think we all came out a little richer from the experience. To me, that is what this site is all about!

Music, Movies, and Books
Not much time for the movies, but I do love the music. Live music is by far the best thing. Getting introduced to music I haven't heard before is awesome. Got to see lots of new bands last year at Austin City Limits.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've got a million answers to this question. How does anyone pick just one? New experiences are rarely dull. I could pick all the cool things I've seen and done and tell you all about life changing moments that go along with giving birth and becoming a mother. OR being a doula and supporting a mother as she brings new life into the world? I could also tell tales of a former career as an emergency responder and all the good and bad that goes along with that profession. Or how about my trip to Joplin, MO to aid in the tornado search and rescue and recovery going on there? That was an experience I'll never forget. Or I could just say, that if you really want to hear about any of this, why not discuss all this and more over a beer sometime? :)
