Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm offering my friendship to all the couchsurfers, and I try to be able to host or to welcome any couchsurfer who comes to Annecy, and to help them discover the the beauty of this beautiful town, and this wonderful country.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I used to be the CS Ambassador for Tunis in 2011/12, then I didn't renew my Ambassadorship with the change of CS politics.
Organised and participated in a 10 Days Road trip through the southern tunisia (20 Participants).
Organised and participated in a 1 week Road trip to Algeria (27 Participants).
18 Days trip through France and Italy (A friend of mine and I)
5 Days in Paris (A friend of mine and I).
Camped and Hiked a thousand times with couchsurfers.
Did some Caving, and some diving too, mainly during the monthly events.
Launched the Monthly events (A weekend Per Month for a trekking, night in hostel, and archeological sites and meseums visit of a certain region in Tunisia, different each month)
Participated in maintaining the Weekly Meeting tradition and organised a great number of them myself, especially the 150th Weekly Meeting in 2012 with around 70Participants.
... And most of all, I met incredible people!!

Interests

Stamps (I bring my collection each time I travel in case I have the opportunity to exchange some stamps),
Culture in General, but especially local traditions, food and music. When I can capture that in a photo I'll be more than happy! (Amateur Photographer).
Interested also in hiking, trekking, caving, sea and swimming, and any other outdoor sports and activities.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One??? .... Okey, I spent 24 hours in a 3000m deep cave in Tunisia, in order to see the longest and most beautiful Fistula (special kind of stalactites) in Tunisia, And some would say in the world (Ain Dhhab cave was nominated among the most beautiful caves in the world because of these formations).

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: not professionally, but I'm very good on languages (those that I speak of course! :p ) so I can give some lessons of arabic (Tunisian and Classic, quite different from each other!), French or English.

learn: Almost everything! but especially local stories and history. In a more general perspective, lessons on Photography, and as a new language: German (I have a very basic level that I would like to improve, language tandems would be a great deal).

share: passion of Tunisia!! One hour with me and you soon decide of your next holidays destination!!... 2 hour with me and my photo albums, and you won't wait for the holiday's!! :p
