About Me

Just want to see the world, get to know different cultures and keep learning -- go out of my comfort zone more often, constantly try new things and challenge myself

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the CS community - people sharing their cultures, interests, foods... it's the best way to travel

Im always down to meet new people and make new friends :)

Interests

I love food -- both the eating and the cooking part. I think it's a wonderful way to spend time with other people and enjoy company :)

I love art. In my pack, I always try to carry watercolors or color pencils with me although my favorite medium is oil. I also love learning about other culture through their art, so a trip to the art museum is a must for me!

I also like swimming, reading, dancing (although not well), biking, and have recently started surfing as well :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I'm pretty open to all types of music. Some consistent favorites are Lorde, The Strokes, King Princess, and Kanye

Books:
All time faves: Farenheit 451, Les Miserables, Madame Bovary, The Little Prince, The Crucible, From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler, Pride and Prejudice, Tess d'Ubervilles, The Awakening.

I also like reading philosophy, especially modern like Nietzsche or Kierkegaard; plays, both classical like Shakespeare and more modern like Arthur Miller; and poetry.

Movies: I don't watch a lot, but I've generally liked the Scorsese, Wes Anderson, and Chris Nolan movies I've watched so far. I also like watching foreign films to see different cultures, like Emil Kusturica or Fatih Akin.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I do believe that the most amazing things you do are the ones that scared you the most. Mine include:
-Au paired in Italy for an adorable 3 year old without knowing any Italian
-Jumped off cliffs from Cinque Terre
-Boarded down volcano Cerro Negro in Nicaragua
-Learned to wakeboard in Monaco
-Hitchhiked across the strait of Gibraltar (Morocco to Spain)
-Watched the sunset in the Sahara
