About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Living it up in Oakland! I work in an office with walls, but otherwise, I prefer to disregard them.

ABOUT ME

What to say? I love delicious food, easy-going people, and exploring nature. Also dancing, doodling and artsy stuff

PHILOSOPHY

"We awaken in others the same attitude of mind we hold toward them."
[Elbert Hubbard]

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been a guest and a host. I strive to be courteous and treat my guests and hosts (and their homes) well. I'm down to hang out but also perfectly comfortable by myself.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been a guest in India, and I've hosted a few guests in my host family's home in Georgia. So far so good!

Interests

To list a few: hiking, art, music, climbing, reading, good beer, cute animals, and generally adventuring. Dancing in the rain is also a favorite.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I love violins, pianos, guitars, drums, and a little electronic flair. Most of what I've been listening to lately is electronic or ska.

Books: On of my all time favorites is The Color of Water by James McBride.

Movies: I don't watch a lot of these actually, but some I really enjoy: Breaking Away, Italian Job, Garden State

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiked the Himalayas!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm an English teacher! I'd love to help you with your English, if that's what you're after. I can also teach Spanish and Georgian, though I'm not an expert in either.

I like to learn a bit of the language(s) spoken wherever I travel, so please teach me as well! Learning to cook new delicious foods is also a plus. I also love listening to stories, so do tell.

I can share an open heart and mind.

What I Can Share with Hosts

English! I'm a teacher! I'll buy groceries, help do chores to keep things tidy, whatever you need.
