Overview
About Me
I'm a professional marketer, former metalsmith, current artist, aspiring author, and freelance writer. What’s important to me is what I learned about the world and myself from those experiences and how I can share that knowledge to impact my communities.
I love storytelling--creating stories and living them, but especially sharing them. I feel I need to write some new chapters in my life that involve traveling abroad and exchanging knowledge and experiences.
I believe in equality for everyone, regardless of gender, orientation, ethnicity, etc., and I want to meet other folks who feel the same :).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am far more interested in engaging meaningfully with people, communities, and cultures than crossing photo ops and country names off a list. I learned that staying and sharing with locals is a memorable and important experience to me, and I love the opportunity to share my culture and background with others.

Music, Movies, and Books
Psytrance, electronic, dark wave, future pop, D&B, psybreaks, techno, industrial, gothic, chill, ambient, rock, and more!
I love science fiction, fantasy, noir, horror, and all speculative fiction genres.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm an artist, costumer (fancy dress), and food fermenter, and I give workshops on all three. I’m also a former food writer for alternative foods, like vegan, gluten-free, keto, paleo, etc.
I can also give tips on writing, marketing, event planning, and the English language.
I’m also really good at helping with music events—I can help with set design, setup , planning, marketing, etc.
Would love to learn various cultural food ferments and share tips.
Interested in connecting with fellow costumers (fancy dressers!) and anyone in the latex clothing making or polymer clay art community.
Want to connect with fellow mushroom hunters and can teach some mushroom lore, from a US perspective.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm a great gluten/free and dairy-free cook, and am handy in the kitchen, being a former food writer. I will cook American barbecue like you wouldn't believe if we have the right ingredients! Or a proper American breakfast (biscuits and gravy!!!)
I know a lot of traditional food ferments and can teach how to make kefir, kombucha, kvass, sauerkraut, kimchi, pickles, etc. I even know how to make miso, but that involves getting the culture, which I can teach about!
I can give lessons on how to make something for a costume (fancy dress), or how to make/fix jewelry or clothes. I know how to problem solve around a lot of artistic obstacles, so I can definitely help with your art project!
Help you with marketing your art project or other endeavors. I’ve worked as a marketer for writers, higher education, magazines, and environmental nonprofits.
Writing help.
