I've benefited from many kind souls hosting me in my life and have grown to appreciate what a warm safe place to sleep can mean to a traveler. If I can make the journey more friendly, it's the least I can do to pay it forward.
Additionally I am a fan of making tiny homes in the world: building strong meaningful connections in unexpected places. Hosting/visiting others helps me develop a decentralized feeling of community.
