About Me
Yet another Kiwi exploring the world. Current locations: London - Porto - Lisbon - Barcelona
Through ongoing curiosity, exploration and self discovery, inevitably our life changes as we do.
In August 2016 I sold all my possessions, threw my life and career plans into the wind and started an adventure to explore the world.
I have recently qualified as a 200 RYT yoga teacher and become a vegetarian, adopting the yogic philosophy of ahimsa (Non-violence).
I love a good conversation, especially when I can learn something new about how others experience the world. I'm also keen to learn about different spiritualities, lifestyles and diets.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
This trip is all about trying new experiences and pushing myself out of my comfort zone - couch surfing definitely ticks those boxes.
I am a really social person, who loves to meet new people, but I'm a bit over the hostel scene and keen to take a break for a while. I'm currently splitting my time between staying with families via WorkAway, housesitting and couch surfing.
Couch surfing is an opportunity for me to meet incredible hosts, learn a bit more about your culture, interests and ways of living, and to share my experiences of travel and life in New Zealand with you :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Easy going with music and movies. Tv shows that I'm addicted to are: Game of Thrones, Vikings, Orphan Black, Peaky Blinders, Orange is the New Black...
Will read almost anything! I tend to split my reading time between philosophy / spiritual books and crime thrillers. My kindle is a wonderful traveling companion.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In South America I completed two gruelling but incredibly rewarding hikes, the 'W Trek' at Torres Del Paine, Patagonia, Chile, and the Ciudad Perdida, Lost City Trek in Colombia.
Both hikes pushed me physically and mentally out of my comfort zone - challenging at the time but absolutely worth it. It was on the Lost City Trek in Colombia that I was inspired to become a yoga teacher, and to write my book... which is currently a work in progress!
Teach, Learn, Share
I only speak English, and love helping others practice their English. I am starting to learn Spanish
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can tell you about backpacking in South America, and share New Zealand culture and beautiful places/travel tips with you.
I am happy to provide you with a private yoga lesson as well, and to share some of the yoga healing techniques I learnt.
