Hi there,

My name is Rachel, a 26 year old gal from Sunny San Diego! I currently manage a top rated Hostel in San Diego. I am very familiar with traveling backpackers and have met wonderful people from all over the world. I have dabbled into traveling here and there but only for 6 weeks at a time. Now I am planning an adventure of a lifetime, inspired by the wonderful souls I have met. I consistently heard about couchsurfing and 98% of the time it was only good things. Of course, there is a 2% chance you'll get the creeper host. I thought to myself , "why not give this a shot!" Most people have told me that they became friend's with their couchsurfing host and gained the real local experience. I am not traveling the world from a tourist perspective but rather hope for the local perspective. I want to completely immerse myself into every city, town, country and continent I go to! I am ready to bid adieu to San Diego and begin my travels! Looking so forward to meeting all of you and to learn from these experiences that lay ahead!
