About Me

Born and raised in California, USA. I love the sun, the water, and the mountains. I went to university in Massachusetts (it's much colder than California) and I am still here doing my graduate studies. I love being able to access nature no matter where I live.

I like running, rock climbing, and lifting weights. Pushing my body to be stronger brings me great joy and allows me to connect with other really cool and strong people.

I love food - it's a big part of my travel experiences.

Learning languages is one of my passions and I wish I had more opportunities to practice speaking with others.

Dancing is not my strong suit :'( but I really enjoy live music.

I'm a little out of practice with traveling. In new situations, I sometimes feel shy, but when I feel comfortable, friends say I become my usual outgoing self. I'm at my best after a good night's sleep!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I originally joined Couchsurfing during my study abroad in Paris, France. I am traveling to Japan and Vietnam for the first time this summer and would love to meet other travelers who are passionate about language/culture/food.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I taught English for 2 months in Otavalo, Ecuador to indigenous children aged 10-18. It was a wonderful learning experience; I left with confidence in my teaching skills and knowledge of a foreign culture.
