About Me

~currently on a roadtrip through the west because I don't know how to sit still~

texan living in boston, ma. i love art, sci-fi, zines, biking around, the great outdoors, and building community. i spend most of my time organizing for economic and climate justice and enjoy time spent with others in most any form. i am very organized and responsible. i also pride myself on being easygoing and kind.

though I am a newbie to this website, I have lived and worked in cooperative/shared spaces with others for multiple years and am very respectful of people's boundaries and privacy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've never done it! but my roommates and I have welcomed a guest on our couch for a few months now and it's been such a wonderful experience of cultural exchange and sharing. I also have such gratitude for the many friends who have hosted me on their couch in my life. I recently read an amazing book called Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer where she explained that in her Potawatomi culture she was taught that giving a gift is not a transaction, but a commitment to building a relationship. I love that and it has really helped me to be intentional about not just what I give but also how and why I give. and vice versa as the receiver of gifts.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

spent a summer traveling exclusively by bicycle, supporting a regional fight against a proposed natural gas pipeline. we won - the pipeline was not built!

Teach, Learn, Share

teach - can teach you how to make loon sounds with your mouth and hands
learn - ideas/perspectives, would also love to learn some more vegetarian recipes
share - stories of experiences fighting corruption and injustice in our society, ideas for how you can help, also great indie playlists
