About Me

I'm 28, have lived in London for the last 6 years and am now (intentionally) unemployed and homeless with the aim to travel indefinitely. I'm in Europe until the end of July during which time I'm hoping to split my time between visiting friends and meeting new ones!

I worked up until recently as an events planner and I'm also pretty organised in my own life too. Having said that I don't take things too seriously and I'm most definitely up for spontaneous fun.

I'm tentatively trying out vegetarianism which so far is going pretty well :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books

A surprising fan of Drum and Bass (specifically Maduk and Etherwood), Jackie Wilson, Carol King and Keiked's cover of Sexual ft. Dyo. I adore live music of nearly any kind and often sing rather tunelessly. I've seen singer songwriter Elizabeth Cornish 47 times (she is also a very good friend of mine so that could explain why!)

Currently reading The Light Between Oceans by M. L. Stedman which was recommended by a Dutch friend of mine and I'm a big fan of Margaret Atwood. Loved Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel and Yes Man by Danny Wallace which inspires me to push boundaries and step outside my comfort zone.

I'm awful with films in terms of watching them, I've never seen anything and have an appalling fascination with rom coms. I do like A Good Year, Seven Pounds (actually anything with Will Smith!) and Saving Mr Banks :-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Slept in the Thar desert as part of a camel trek in India. Pretty sure I've still got sand stuck in my ears!

I ran the London marathon in April and intend to attempt Paris next year.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can help with any English language questions being a native speaker. I actually enjoy washing up so am useful in the kitchen and can laugh at your jokes if it makes you happy!
