Overview
About Me
I'm a free-spirited gal double majoring in psychology and anthropology (read: loves people). I adore people who can sit and discuss social issues and world events with me -I love people who educate me in any way, shape or form. I also love a cheeky beer or red wine ;)
I live in a lovely five-person share house which is feminist-friendly, queer-friendly, poly-friendly, eco-friendly, sex-worker-friendly, as well as the regular type of friendly. It is important that you also fit this description (but if you're unfamiliar with any of the terms above, having an open, respectful, inquisitive mind will do the trick). Some people like to bring gifts for their hosts which is super lovely, but I've got too many possessions and since I live in a share-house it's nicer if you bring something for the whole house. Cooking a family dinner one night would be a perfect gift if you want to show your appreciation, or if you're not too confident in your chef's abilities.. toilet paper never goes astray! ;) Please start your request with 'I have read your profile' so I know you have read this section -I have a duty to my housemates to make sure I only bring amazing people here who will contribute to the safe, inclusive space we've turned our home into.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
While travelling - what better way to get closer to a culture than through its' people?!
While at home- I think it's really important to keep meeting new people and exchanging ideas, and all the better if I can help a fellow traveller out.

Music, Movies, and Books
MUSIC- I know 90% of the world says this, but seriously, just about everything. From electronic (eg. Flume, Ida Engberg) to rap (eg. Eminem) to folk (First Aid Kit, Laura Marling) to indie (Alpine), to rock (Grinspoon) to hip hop (Drapht, Hermitude).
BOOKS- The Alchemist, The Chrysalids, When God Was a Rabbit
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Year-long exchange in sweden at age 16/17
Travelled solo through europe and se asia for 7 months
Hitchhiked in spain, thailand and myanmar
On two occasions reached the most powerfully indescribable meditative state (that I will probably spend the rest of my life attempting to describe).
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'll probably wash all your dishes at some stage... please let me help you wash the dishes, its something that as a traveller I rarely have to do but it makes me feel like a human being. Also up for grabs is some good conversation if you desire it (preferably over a glass of beer or red wine which id be more than happy to supply), and/or entertainment in the form of me practicing my hula hooping :)
