About Me

Hi :-) some things about me; I am a crazy dog person, smiling most the time, very talkative but hate small talk, I love being outdoors & I am a big science nerd!

I recently graduated from UNCW studying Biology with a concentration in terrestrial and freshwater conservation.

I work as a fiber artist :) I work with recycled cotton & natural materials to create macrame pieces. You can check out my work @sunrayfiberart

I have a recent interest in learning some sports… acro/aerial yoga (because normal yoga bores me), skateboarding, surfing, slacklining, surfing, climbing… let’s see if I can teach myself these things. I’ve always been a music/art person (I play 4 instruments)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love acoustic/indie, pop, classic rock, Spanish and Brazilian music. My favorite band is the Lumineers :)

The movie Wild is my whole heart and soul in one movie. It’s a humbling and incredible movie I rewatch all of the time (seriously I've probably seen it at least 10 times).

I’ve read almost every book written by Edward Wilson. My favorite is Letters To A Young Scientist or The Meaning Of Human Existence. I am currently reading the song of the dodo, which talks about species extinction and island biogeography.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I thing I will never forget was flying to the remote island of Flores in the Açores with my sister, no plans or a car. We just simply hitchhiked around the beautiful island, climbed waterfalls, explored the wild terrain and met amazing people! Pure paradise.

I just finished a 2 month road trip with my dog, we lived out of my car, camping every night, hiking everyday, it was amazing :)

Teach, Learn, Share

My goal in life is not to be happy all the time, but to die being happy with the life I lived.

Be a good steward of the earth & be kind to animals <3

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am pretty decent at cooking plant based meals, I play 4 instruments, languages & I love to teach other people macrame!
