Overview
About Me
Hi there! My name is Rachel. I graduated from the Peabody Institute in Baltimore MD in May 2018 as a music performance major. I am a musician in the US Army Bands. Outside of that I’m a full time dog walker and dog sitter! I’ve worked in animal hospitals as a veterinary technician and kennel assistant and I absolutely love being with animals. I’ve owned German Shepherds and dachshunds in the past but currently I don’t own any furry animals! It’s just me and my boyfriend exploring the world doing road trips, hiking, camping, mixing gin cocktails, and making good food.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love meeting new people and also as a poor college student/traveling musician it's always a pleasure to offer my couch to someone who needs it or find a place to crash when I'm running around the world with my horn. Who needs a fancy expensive hotel when you can make new friends from this website.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
For the past two years I have climbed a mountain on the first day of the new year. It's a nice tradition that I've started to create.
Also, in the summer of 2016, I hiked Mount Mitchell - the highest peak on the east side of the Mississippi. 8 hrs. 12 miles round trip.
What I Can Share with Hosts
If anyone wants to learn how to play horn, I'm your gal.
I'm a terrible story teller, I go off on tangents all the time, but that doesn't stop me from extravagantly telling hilarious stories if you're up to it.
Also, if you have a crock pot, I can make some killer pulled barbecue chicken.
