About Me

I am friendly, considerate, empathetic, easygoing, and fun!

Currently living in Bellingham, WA, but have also lived in the South and Midwest. I love traveling and exploring new places, making friends, and finding a quiet place for a glass of wine and journaling.

I enjoy hearing people's stories, live music, nature, good food and drinks, and exploring new places. I love being outside, particularly near bodies of water. I am a lover of life and people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm excited to use Couchsurfing to continue cultivating new friendships and experiences!

I started this account when my friend Pamela and I were backpacking through Europe a few years ago. We had incredible experiences with couchsurfing and are so grateful for the amazing friends we met along the way!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love hip hop (EarthGang, Atmosphere, P.O.S.), classic rock, blues, bluegrass, indie, trip hop, R&B, punk, metal - I enjoy and appreciate a variety of music! I also love the Beatles.

Some of my favorite movies are "Inglourious Basterds," "Forest Gump," and "Pan's Labyrinth."

I enjoy reading in general, from Edgar Allan Poe to Toni Morrison.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After my Internet marketing position in Atlanta was downsized in 2014, I sold most of my possessions and volunteered on an 11-month humanitarian mission across three continents.

Teach, Learn, Share

I’ve taught English short-term in South America, Africa, and Asia. I enjoy sharing my experiences, helping people, and learning new things. I would love to help you practice your English and teach you impressive new vocabulary!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my experiences, writing/editing expertise, consulting and research abilities, and intentional connection. I love creating inviting, peaceful environments and have learned how to do that wherever I am in the world.

When I stay with you, you can expect you and your home to be respected, to receive a handwritten note at some point, to have lots of laughs, and to enjoy some great conversation!
