ABOUT ME

I'm easy-going, introverted, and sarcastic. I like to go out and dance and drink with friends, but I also enjoy staying in with a movie and glass of wine. I like to travel, doodle, take photos, and meander through cemeteries. I love dogs, coffee, vegan food, and music. I'm addicted to piercings, and I change my hairstyle often. I wear Doc Martins nearly every day, and I hate wearing pants. I drive a really old bike that probably belonged to someone's grandpa.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am a teacher and student, lover not a fighter. Last year I was living and working in Germany and now I am broadening my mind studying Women, Gender, and Society in the great city of Dublin. I love to talk about music, culture, and languages. I'm happy to cook some food, have some wine and just hang out, or tour the city by bike or on foot!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am somewhat new to couch surfing, and I don't do it as often as I'd like to, but I'm flexible and up for anything! I like meeting new people but am also a very shy person, so please be patient with me. I may seem boring at first, but ask me some interesting questions, and I'll start to open up!

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite book is The Road, and anything by Chuck Palanuik. I'm mostly into science fiction, fantasy, and fiction, but I enjoy non-fiction from time to time.

My favorite musician is Spencer Krug (Moonface, Wolf Parade, Sunset Rubdown). I also enjoy Radiohead, Alt J, The Strokes, My Chemical Romance, Arcade Fire, Broken Social Scene, Joy Division, Murder By Death, Neutral Milk Hotel, Grizzly Bear, Modest Mouse. I'm always looking for new music and usually not picky about what kind.

I love foreign and independent movies. A few of my favorites are A Clockwork Orange, Taxi Driver, Pulp Fiction, Paprika, The Dreamers, The Big Lebowski, Naked, The Shining, Silence of the Lambs, Star Wars, Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, and The Room. I will also watch anything by the Coen Brothers, Wes Anderson, and Quinton Tarantino.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've had a mohawk, I've climbed a mountain, and I've jumped out of a plane!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to roller blade, write a poem, or use an oxford comma. I can give you a hair cut, cook you a vegan meal, or tell you all about whiskey.
I want to learn more about different cultures and languages, and also science, art, music, and technology. I love sharing life stories with the people I meet.
