About Me

I'm island grown, but living in the Midwest right now.

I'm easily amused. I seek adventure. I'm afraid of heights, but I enjoy a little bit of fear. I'm a cynical idealist.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love travelling and enjoy meeting and getting to know people who come from different backgrounds. I would love to hear about your experiences! :) AND>>>>> if you like dancing like a wild animal I will automatically love you.

Interests

Making ART, dancing, hiking, the ocean, making and eating good food, camping, naps, making friends with animals, climbing trees, chatting over tea/ coffee/ chocolate and wine, wearing things as clothes not meant to be clothes. Intersting and sometimes awkward conversation. :P

Music, Movies, and Books

all kinds of music..... reggae, under ground hip-hop, trip- hop, indie, various forms of latin music, drum beats, grunge, jazz, blues, soul.......

movies- surreal dramas like:"City of Lost Children," "Brazil," "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind," Etc. Sometimes I'm up for a comedy like "Friday" or "Pineapple Express."

Books: Love "The Hobbit" and the "LOTR" (Tolkien) series, 1984 (George Orwell) was a great book, also into reading short "spiritual" books like "Peace is Every Step" (Thit Nhat Hanh) or "The Prophet" (Kahil Gibran). I tend to enjoy books w/ a lot of pictures ;) (art books and sometimes graphic novels). Love the MAXX.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

6 weeks ( to the date of recovery) after having surgery I hiked the Inca trail and am still here trucking along. :D

Teach, Learn, Share

*dance, language exchange, many many stories, recipes, art*

Dance-I am not the "traditional" dancer- but I'v taken quite a few dance classes (modern, Filipino dance, Okinawan dance, African dance, a lil samba (not ballroom), basics of salsa... etc.) I really really love dancing so if you want to learn or teach me or just dance wildly like an animal, I will most likely engage. :P

Language- Besides English, I speak a decent amount of Spanish , but haven't been in practice living in Hawaii and Korea, but would love to utilize it!
I also can understand and speak tidbits of Japanese and Korean. I know some Hawaiian words so I can teach you them if you want. :)

Stories- travel, strange experiences, myths and legends

Recipes- I'm kinda a foodie, so please share your favorite recipes and I will too!

Art- I mostly am a 2D fine artist, but once in a while delve into the 3D world, if you want to to do an art exchange or be my muse I would be delighted!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I clean up after myself and can cook for you. :D
