About Me
A Californian native who moved to France after graduating from university because I realized my passions had changed and I no longer knew what I wanted to do, original ;p. For now, I plan on staying in France for as long as I can and using this time to take advantage of all the opportunities I can to travel and experience new things. So far, that's been going great.... Previously I lived in Bordeaux, then in the Vosges region, then in Madrid, and now in Paris as an English teacher.
Music and art are two of my strongest passions, though I studied international relations and human rights while at university. I hope to find a future job that combines all of these interests. In September I will begin studies at Goldsmiths in a very interesting program I would love to tell you all about... in person
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to meet new people who share similar interests. My favorite part of going to a new place is seeing cities and towns from the perspective of a native. I really appreciate sharing culture and experiences, even more so I love sharing stories and learning more about people. If I ask too many questions or seem too excited don't be surprised, I'm a gemini :^)
CS plays into my idea of what life really is all about - taking risks and figuring out the next step as we go. The experiences I've had so far reflected that as well as showed me some of the best parts of humanity. The CS community is one that I feel really attached to even if my first experience using it was only a few months ago. Sadly my home is just a room at the moment, but as soon as it is bigger I plan to host as much as I can !!!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love any and all music - from jazz to club; previously my go-to genre has been funk and house, fun things to dance around to in the morning while I make my coffee and read a book before starting my day. Lately I have been digging into my roots with Simon & Garfunkel and such artists. Every day, the go to song changes so I make tons and tons of playlists and send music constantly to my friends.
I like a book that will challenge me. My favorite book I just finished is called "I Love Dick". Provocative title, interesting material.
While traveling, I love to visit local concerts and music venues - the smaller, the better. My taste in music varies widely, but I mostly love to dance. Some of my favorite memories are accidental shows that I ended up at, making new friends and sharing the great experience of hearing good music together. I also love to visit local bookstores, and my "touristy souvenirs" have instead become books that I've bought from Sweden to Spain.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
a lot of really small silly things that lead to really fantastical stories
I don't have a stomach, had it completely removed.
