Hi friend! My name is Rachel McAdam (unfortunately not the actress). I am currently living in Miramichi New Brunswick but am from Fredericton NB. In the Miramichi I am in my second and final year of Environmental Technology, and have no idea where I'm headed next!

I am an aspiring traveller who loves to laugh and have fun. I am open to people, and friend with people from all walks of life. I never judge and never discriminate. If you need a friend I'm here to listen!

In Canada I've been to Niagara falls, Ottawa, Montreal, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, and have been to most places in New Brunswick.
As for the USA, my uncle lives in Florida and I've been there twice! Though I have not been many places, I aspire to travel the world!
Places I'd love to go would be Hawaii, India, Thailand, Singapore, Jamaica, Brazil, Costa Rica, and Crete.

Creativity is something I see so much beauty in. I love photography and I am a self taught photographer, I love to crochet and sing everything! I used to play violin and would love to learn guitar and own a djembe drum. I love to make hemp accessories and create things with my hands. I also longboard and absolutely love listening to any kind of music from all different cultures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm couch surfing right now because my current mission is to find a place near, or in Brooklyn New York so that my friend Shinaid and/or my other friend Sabrina can go to a Tash Sultana concert held at Rough Trade in Brooklyn. It will be for my 21st birthday on Friday, February 17/2017. We may need to stay the night on Thursday, and definitely Friday, and Saturday. We won't cause a mess in your house and will be friendly and kind, promise.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Summer 2016 I worked as a Coastal Stewardship Biologist and got to walk beaches every day for 2 and a half months. It was the best experience of my life.
I've also attended the Future Forest festival which was the best weekend of my life!

Teach, Learn, Share

What I could teach: crocheting, longboarding, how to make hemp accesories and friendship bracelets.

What I want to learn: cultures of the world, surfing, guitar, how to cook your favourite recipes, hula hooping, and anything else you want to teach me!

What I will share: my stories, friends, music, food, a laugh, and once I have more time on my hands I will definitely share my couch with you.

What I Can Share with Hosts

When I come about to hosting I will offer: a bed/blow up bed/couch, a clean and safe place to be yourself, if I've got extra I'll offer food/snacks, washer and dryer, Wi-Fi, tv, and my experience of what you should see in the place in living!
