I'm a recent college graduate who works as a medical scribe (for money), dog wrangler (for love and money), and freelance writer (mostly for love and for a tiny bit of very inconsistent money). I prefer TV shows over movies, coffee over tea, chocolate over vanilla, and wine over beer. I also prefer drinking that wine at a low-key bar or restaurant or--even better--in the comfort of my (or a friend's) home. I'm definitely an introvert, but I have no problem talking to people if it's a topic I'm interested in.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I studied abroad in Copenhagen during the fall of 2014, and I was also able to travel to Barcelona, London, Edinburgh, the Scottish Highlands, Munich, southern Sweden, and Salzburg.

Needless to say, I caught the travel-bug. Currently, due to finances and job stuff, my traveling is limited to the lower 48 and Canada. Which is ok, because it turns out that America is cooler than CNN and Fox would lead you to believe. I especially like visiting national parks and the less inhabited corners of the country.

Traveling, reading, writing, blogging, watching (and discussing) TV, cooking/baking, attempting (and failing) at Pinterest projects.

I'm currently spending a lot of time writing and blogging, as well as reading about writing and blogging, because I'd like to eventually make a job out of writing. I've always been a very independent person, and I would like a career that grants me a lot of freedom to make my own decisions.
