Music, Movies, and Books

Music - I’m into a lot of genres (hip hop, rap, jazz, electronic, experimental) but mostly hip hop

Books.. I like to read about Korea since I spent some time there and it helps me make sense of my experience. Another book I read lately that I really enjoyed is Purple Hibiscus. Currently reading a Stephen King novel. Who knows when I’ll update this, though? Hopefully I will have completed my 2023 goodreads challenge by the time you’re reading this. I steer clear of psychology and self help these days, in effort to get out of my head.
Late 2023 update: These days I mostly read business and advertising related books~

In terms of film, I like indie films by directors who put more emphasis on the way a story is told than the story itself.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived along the dmz in South Korea for the past year. Living in a military village was a unique experience. I’ve also hiked a ton of volcanoes, multi day treks, taught English in several countries. But on further reflection, I don’t know if any of that is incredible. Maybe the most incredible thing I’ve done is helped homeless people.
