Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couchsurfed once in Spain, at Beas de Granada. Tom was an awesome host, and his house was a lovely base camp from where we could start our hikes from. Did a couple when I was travelling in Croatia too! And of course, slept on the couches of many friends - Germany, London, Scotland, Sri Lanka... Nothing beats living with a local family.

Interests

I love trying out new stuff, things that I have never done and definitely, off the track. Love the outdoors, sunshine, the greens, browns, greys and blues - both a create of land and sea, and maybe skies (when the opportunity arises).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, there is a lot to choose from. But the most recent one was my first sight of the Swiss Alps. The mountains against the blue skies, green fields dotted with wildflowers, the blue lake amidst the rock outcrops nestled between the valleys.. It was just tooooo gorgeous. Another mountain range that took my breathe away was that in Pyrenees, Spain. I think I left a bit of myself behind. Was just recently in North India, and hiked to the border regions between India and China. Absolutely stunning. Nothing like the giants snow-capped mountains to make you feel like a nothing.

In the waters, it's probably from diving and snorkeling... Diving in the centre of a swimming school of fish, diving to see the World War II plane wrecks, diving amongst the complicated network of caves in Mexico. Climbing around and up rocks, just exploring the coast and taking in the many shades of blues.

Teach, Learn, Share

I definitely have things to teach and share, and things that I want to learn. If anything, I think it differs from individual to individual on what I can offer and what I can receive. So come, let's meet up for a chat and we can find out from there!
