About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Save up money to travel and figure out the scary mess that is my future

ABOUT ME

Living back in Houston after 5 years in New Orleans and a year traveling and working in Spain. I miss the international community of Barcelona and constantly stumbling over people from all over the world. I studied International Relations and currently work at a high school helping disadvantaged kids get to college and have a future.

PHILOSOPHY

Ride or Die.

"Laissez les bons temps rouler": in New Orleans it means let the good times roll!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed in Eastern Europe and had an amazing time. I loved it because the hosts were all open, friendly, and gave me the unique local experience that is so hard to find while being a normal tourist.

Interests

Traveling, learning about new cultures, reading, finding random festivals and celebrations around Houston

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite Books: "We the Living", "Papillion", and "Bridget Jones Diary", "God of Small Things", "Middlesex"

Music: I am a music conformist. I love songs that make me do ridiculous dances in the car for the enjoyment of my fellow road travelers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was an observer and participant of the amazing comeback of New Orleans, Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina. I will never forget the people I have met and the amazing things that are still being accomplished there by big-hearted people willing to work hard.

Teach, Learn, Share

I had a blue belt in American-style Karate. I was on a step team. I can invent ridiculously silly games to play with small children.

Countries I’ve Visited

Andorra, Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Morocco, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Italy, Spain, United States
