About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to live well, eat well and sleep well

ABOUT ME

well, rather tame these days, after years of what seems in retrospect like near-constant moving. i'm pretty stoked on sustainable, local food production, and i work for a restaurant that operates its own farms. i like to cook. i'm maybe a bit obnoxiously fond of my dog, who i got in september and whose every quirk still fascinates me. i like to read. i like to gab. i'm often late and almost always a little scattered, but i'll take good care of you and try to show you a good time.

PHILOSOPHY

be generous. work hard. be polite. seek out new experiences. be honest. learn to enjoy your own company. that's about as far as i've gotten.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i hosted folks while i was living in korea and then surfed a number of couches during a backpacking stint in europe. i don't host all that often these days, but it's always a treat when i can find the time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

extremely positive. everyone i have met has been open, generous, trustworthy -- it's been great.

Interests

photojournalism, magazine writing, cooking and eating really good food, reading the news, volunteering at area farms, david foster wallace, seeing live music, learning new languages, shooting the shit, tearing up the dance floor, being a motorcycle passenger, looking at art, hosting dinner for friends — pretty standard fare.
