About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Adventure and experience as much as possible
ABOUT ME
I'm a 24 year old student working full time. No travel plans at the moment but I'm always dreaming of somewhere. Looking forward to summer 2017 for more possible adventures!
I'm a mix of an introvert/extrovert. Love being around people but also need time to recharge and enjoy solitude which is why I feel backpacking solo will be the perfect mix for someone such as myself.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe in kindness and compassion and curiosity. I also believe it's important to find joy and happiness wherever and whenever possible.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
To host and be hosted by quality individuals. I'm seeking to experience different cultures and daily lives. I want to be able to know a city in a unique way. Anyone can stay in a hostel or a hotel but Couchsurfing is about getting to know people and their city in a way that's special.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Just becoming familiar and introduced. I hosted my first surfers this summer and had a great, rather laid back experience.
Thus far my surfing experiences have been positive, trusting, spontaneous and super fun!
Interests
I'm interested in baking, napping, dancing, reading, people watching, enjoying good beer, swimming, snowboarding, hiking, camping, ice skating, global politics, sustainability, adventuring, being lazy, watching movies, spending time with my family, growing things in my garden, finding rope swings to play on, learning to sew.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Traveled (literally) around the world solo! I started in Europe and lived/worked in a hostel in Budapest for half of my time there, then went down to Australia on a working/holiday visa. From Aus I went to Kauai, Hawaii and worked on an organic permaculture project for several months then finally headed back to PDX. It was an amazing experience and I look forward to more like it.
Teach, Learn, Share
As a host: A multitude of Portland experiences. Either hiking in the Columbia River gorge, drinks at a cozy bar or patio depending on the season, an adventure at the frigid Oregon coast, a day spent reading and browsing literature in Powell's, the "city of books". Going out for live music or dancing or touring one of Portland's many breweries.
It depends on what experience they're seeking :)
As a surfer: a sunny disposition and a desire to get to know you and your city. I'm a big fan of sharing a meal and an adult beverage and good conversation.
