About Me

Traveling is something I truly have a passion for. Exploring new places, meeting new people, learning about different cultures, and trying new foods are things I will never get tired of doing. I love making friends in new places and learning about their story: all the amazing things they've done, where they've been, the awesome things they enjoy in their area, hidden gems of their town, and giving them insight on future travel (if I've been to the location where they wish to travel).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd like to be able to travel on the fly and meet new people while saving a few $.

Interests

Lots of hiking, casual swimming, volleyball, outdoorsy things, camping, scuba diving, sports, kayaking, running, yoga (although I’m not very good at it), canyoneering, cavern tours, really anything new and awesome sounds great to me.

Now that we have a dog, my interests are shaped by what she is allowed/capable of accompanying us on. I love all of the above, but if my dog can't come... I'm usually out :(

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Jumped off the cliff of the southern-most tip of the United States.

Teach, Learn, Share

Knowledge is power. I'm all about it.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm organized and typically come with a plan. I come prepared and don't have expectations that a host will shepherd me around, give me tours, or let me borrow their car, etc. If hosts are available and want to join me on excursions, I'd love to do so!

Other than that, I'm quiet, no stress, and generally easy-going. I hike quite often and would love to join you on a hike or two. I love talking about new hikes, cool nuggets I've found, tips, experiences, travel to various places in the world, etc., so I think we'd have some great conversations about the awesome place you live and wherever you'd like to travel next. If hosts want privacy I'm open to doing my own thing while they do their own thing, too.
