About Me

Note: I won't reply to those who didn't read my profile.

First thing first:
currently I can only host one guest at a time and usually cannot exceed 3 days

And what I can offer to you now is two yoga matts on my carpet where you can sleep comfortably on just as much. Welcome if you are fine with this.

‘She is a blast wherever she goes.'

People who know me will say that i am a super relaxed, outgoing, outspoken, and unique person in many ways that you least expect. They are surprised how I can just find out about things and say it out loud. For me, it is a simple pleasure to just talk about things, to share with people my side of the world.

My personality is exciting, cheerful and refreshing. I have to admit that my days living in rural areas in America bore & confuse me a lot but my rich spiritual self keep myself from being bored and still seek fun-liking, open&like-minded people. I've been getting better and stronger through adversity.

I love sharing time with unique and interesting people and I consider valuable friends/life experiences as a treasure to myself. I learn from what I see every second during the day. There is literally 'never a dull moment'.

Overall, culture fascinates me a lot (good, bad, counterparts, discrepancies, stereotypes...)and I've got stories to tell on this. I'm sure America has a lot of valuable things to offer, which I am yet to see.

I would be excited to hear out your side of the world --and I know there are many aspects of the world i need to learn from so many people, so that i can get rid of my 'assumptive' mindset for a bit and have a little brainstorming. I hope I only bring you great and unforgettable surprises.

I have really enjoyed CS so far. It is just a mind-blowing experience in general and it is so different from any other traditional travel approach-- by surfing in different places in the world you can meet all kinds of people with all different background and personality, you can get out of comfort zone this sec... And hear their side of the world. Doesn't that sound exciting already?

And It is THE spirit of travel-- people are what matters. And only with people, you start to grow to have such a seasoned and enriched perspective of the world and even explore a different side of yourself. You exchange, inspire, explore, develop, grow. If it's just the scenery, landscape, there really isn't much to see--the people who you meet will eventually decide your memory of that city and that period of life.

So far I didn't travel much, I have lived in China and US and basically only traveled within these two places. I know it sounds boring zzzzz :( Still haven't figured how I can have a life and also travel around the world. So am working on it :D

I see myself as a miraculous mix of the west and the east, and all of the best parts only. So many people have mistakenly thought I must be an ABC (american-born Chinese) when they just start talking to me, but nope, I am pure Chinese and take all the pride being who I am. Up until today, I'm still trying to figure myself out and figure the world out, With all the inquisitive spirit I have brought with me since I was a kid.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've heard great things about CS: he who referred me here said it is a great place to meet new people who travel around and are open-minded--the exact type of people who I need to meet.
This is literally the most mind-blowing experience I ever had--as a person like me, so imagine it. Feels like I'm thrown out of my regular path and actually 'living in somewhere else'.
Traveling is never about the place. It's about the people. Now that's what I truly believe.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Cultural differences between west and east is the thing that amazed me the most thus far. Feels like two planets in most times. Very shocking. I'm being lucky ( or unlucky?) to get to thoroughly experience this difference all the time.

Also, unluckily in one sense, I experienced how extremely divided US is in the NE and the south and the rest areas, as a said 'united' country. I'll further explore this while I grow and learn more about people, but so far I'm very confused.

Being back n forth between China and US is the most tremendous experience i had in my life, I've been living in Florida, Louisiana, shortly worked & lived in NYC, and it gave me tremendous perspectives in the way I look at the world and people. --I am thoroughly both Chinese and American and you will likely find a good mixed blend of the two in me. In that aspect, I am different and unique in a way you least expect.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share w u my experiences in US and how ppl diff in this country: north, south, west.. how they talk, behave , and do evthing differently..
and share w u how China is geographically diversified in different areas..
most likely, i can share how these countries are opposite in many ways , people's living style, life philosophy, diplomatic philosophy... and how dramatic cultural shock and counter-shock can be.
just a little bit of everything.

What I Can Share with Hosts

unique ideas and attitude towards life , people, world.. And my thoughts are like brainstorming in general ^< ..

Countries I’ve Lived In
