Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have experience being the surfer. If given the opportunity I would be happy to host but at the moment the most I could do is meet up for coffee and chat about the city of NY.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had nothing but fantastic experiences thus far. I have been continuously amazed by everyone's open hearts. I love the conversations and experiences I have had with folks who would otherwise be strangers.

Interests

Most recently I have been researching neuroplasticity and trying to learn more about it.
Sometimes I like to look up youtube explanations of quantum physics.

Music, Movies, and Books

I try to read regularly.
Most recently finished: The brain that changes its self (loved), living with a seal (ok-ish, not my favorite), neuro-fitness (mildly interesting but mostly fluffy and easy to read), Grit (Enjoyable), Atomic Habits (Solid. Informative. Would recommend).
Favorites: The Brain that Changes Its Self, The War for Art, Fail Fast Fail Often, Never Ending Story, Candide, Tess of the D'Urbervilles, Jane Eyre, Howl's Moving Castle, Yotsuba &!, Song of the Lioness Quartet, King Killer Chronicles, Good Omens, Going Postal.

Music: I love nearly everything. Not a fan of most atonal music. And can't usually handle horror sound tracks.
I enjoy hearing: Gamalan orchestras, opera, broadway, bollywood, jrock, swedish rock, rap, some country music, comedic bands, math rock...

Movies: Tarsem's "The Fall", The Sword in the Stone, Mad Max Fury Road, predestination, eastern promises, die zieben zwerge, pans labyrinth, star dust, the lord of the rings, howls moving castle and all of Studio G, troll 2 (best worst movie), kick ass, inglorious bastards, pay it forward, christopher reeves super man, firefly and serenity, godzilla final wars, the man in the iron mask, Robin Hood
