About Me

I'm a laid back chill at home type, who loves to spend time with people who have substance. I'm pretty quiet, and prefer quiet surroundings over loud ones, unless I'm in NYC. But even still, a nice quiet reprieve is always a nice thing, especially in the city that never sleeps.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My friends cannot host me and I have to stay here for work. I figure since I cannot afford much right now, this is the best option, and besides, it's always nice to network, and forge relationships with others at any given opportunity.

Interests

I love food and wine, the arts, painting, shopping, dancing, museums. I love coffee shops and chai lattes, working out, and video games.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Random West Coast road trip where I literally booked a flight to Phoenix 2 days in advanced, one way. Got a rental car when I arrived (terrible idea, always reserve it or you pay out of your ass!!!) and just hit the road for a good 2 weeks. Ended the trip up in Seattle. It was hands down the MOST amazing thing I've ever done in my life. I horsebacked through the Sonoran desert in the sunset, went off-roading in the Sedona, spent hours playing with a coyote named Loki, hung out with a Cheetah, and some African and Asian elephants, went hiking through Zion, went to Monument Valley, hiking in Waterholes Slot Canyon, and got to see Horseshoe Bend, went Jet skiing on Lake Powell, went to the Grand Canyon, spent a night gambling in Las Vegas and lost, drove through Death Valley, GPS sent me on an off roading trip through the Red Wood Forrest and lived to tell about it (you know those crazy stories that you hear about how people died because they listened to their GPS!), watched the sunrise on the beach on the pacific coast in Trinidad and took some amazing shots, went to and walked over the bridge at Multnomah Falls (just like I did in a dream I had before the trip, and yes, the mist really did spray me in the face while walking over the bridge, so surreal!) That dream is actually what inspired this road trip, I had already dreamt about it 9 years previously, but it started at the Hoover Dam and ended at the Falls. I never knew what this place was until I saw it in a book on waterfalls, and it just so happened to be in Oregon, so I knew I had to get see for myself if the water really does touch your face. I did not go to the Hoover Dam sadly, just because of timing and the route we would have needed to take to backtrack. It was hands down the most active 2 weeks of my life, but also the most adventurous and the most rewarding 2 weeks of my life, and also, I learned that I can somehow dream of places that are actually real and true, so I did discover a little bit more about myself along the way, and I also learned how to hike and survive all on my own, in the desert just fine on a 120 degree day in the sun, enjoyably.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a lot of good stories. Mostly crazy. lol.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Whatever you want to know. I am not verified because they charge you for that, but I can show my ID upon request if that makes you feel better, and I actually prefer to exchange that, one for my own safety and two, for your peace of mind.
