About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I hope to experience the world!

ABOUT ME

Easy going, honest, genuine, enthusiastic, independent.

PHILOSOPHY

At this moment: To slip out of my comfort zone on a regular basis to live a fulfilling life and to be more comfortable on my own.

I hope by the time I raise children of my own, every country in the world has an equal representation of women in leadership roles.

I wish there were more hours in the day - too much to do in life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started my couchsurfing experience while living in Rome, though my couch in Shanghai is always open for other surfers!

Interests

Free time spent drawing, reading, music, biking, gardening, cooking, reading about architecture, urban topics.

Music, Movies, and Books

I was a college radio DJ so music is integral in my life, though my perspective relative to the rest of the world is narrow (for now).

Recently-

Books: Volume, El Croquis(architecture periodicals), Book of Tea, Infinate Jest, Millenium Series

Movies: Lost In Translation, Dogville, Nymphomania, Melencholia, Rushmore, Darjeeling Limited, Pedro Almodovar, Millenium Series(Swedish&Hollywood version)

Music: XXYYXX, CocoRosie, Wilco, Beirut, Black Moth Super Rainbow, John Frusciante, Chromatics, Washed Out, Todd Terje, Sun Kil Moon, Broken Social Scene, Atmosphere, Kendrick, Cass McCombs, Fool's Gold, Valerie June, Mø, First Aid Kit, Sylvan Esso, Bibio

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Have yet to name a personal chart topper....

Teach, Learn, Share

I can cook great American food and love to eat ALL types of food. One of my favorite things is talking with no words but sound effects, acting, drawing, and hand gestures - if there is a language barrier that exists.

Learning about other cultures and language through residents is something I like a lot.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My Shanghai Lonely Planet book, hot shower, clean linens.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Cambodia, Canada, Denmark, France, Hong Kong, Iceland, India, Japan, Macao, Morocco, Netherlands, Philippines, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

China, Italy, United States
