Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
In 2008 I surfed once with 2 other people through this site in Minneapolis (MN/USA) in the winter; which is about 3 steps from the artic tundra. Wonderful to have a free, warm place to sleep. Obviously I do the occasional hosting of friends, and being hosted. Looking to surf more abroad and host once I get a place to do so that isn't as much of a common living space. After a month of CS rejection in China, I surfed 2 nights in Shenzhen and it was wonderful.+ 1 night in Novi Sad, Serbia+2 nights in Amsterdam
Interests
Recently helped found a collective house in Brooklyn, NY.

Music, Movies, and Books
Another Roadside Attraction by Tom Robbins, as well as most of his other books. Vonnegut, Orwell...dystopia. Howl by Ginsburg. The Fountainhead, but not Atlas Shrugged.
Metropolis is the most beautiful thing I have seen. Lost in Translation? Almost Famous, Pi.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Buddhist temple in Chengdu, China.
Biking in the Danish countryside from Gedser to Copenhagen. Bike paths following highways. Getting lost in Rotterdam on my bike after eating a hash brownie was also heavenly.
Teach, Learn, Share
Building, like with metal or wood. Not beautifully crafted but functional and sturdy.
