I am an adventurous teacher that loves to travel and experience all that others have to offer! I am a vegetarians but love when people cook what they love best, and love to try new things, meet new people, and create memories that will last me more than a lifetime.

ABOUT ME

I am creative, quirky, considerate and am always up for a challenge. Love the outdoors and nature and am always down for playing in the mud or an occasional water balloon fight. I am a runner and love hiking, photography, swimming, reading, anything having to do with you, : ) or other cultures that can broaden my horizons and expand my imprint that I can leave on this Earth as well.

PHILOSOPHY

Love enjoying the little things that most people overlook, and seeing the special moments that make life genuine and exciting. Above all treating others the way I want to be treated and my passion is to inspire others to grasp for knowledge on a daily basis in order to not waste even a moment that life has to offer.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN

Right now do not have travel plans. Got back from Europe a couple of months and would love to recommend places for people to go. Willing to host you in the Long Beach area if you have some super vibing stories to share as well. Live with my sister and have a cool and comfy pad. Message me. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

During my travels I have definitely met amazing and helpful people that have let me stay in their homes or with their friends. CS was recommended to me last year and I have only had good things come about because of it and wanted to become a part of this awesome family and share my own experiences as well!

Intereses

Sun, good vibes, and sailing, country music, cello, drums, Steinbeck, Hemingway, running, vegetables, swimming, surfing and having a good tan, like to paint (though I am no Van Gogh) and be creative with writing, and planning lessons for students that bring out the best in them, while taking them maybe to a place they did not know was even an option. Skydiving is fun, hot air balloon rides are even better, and just appreciating a sunset is important, too. Hot yoga, bicycle riding, marathons, and poetry get me going as well.

Yeehaw. Love a good rockout, and instrumentals including cymbals and drums and bass. Forrest Gump, Cinderella Man, Dallas Buyer's Club, Boy, Wild, East of Eden, Raise High the Roofbeam, Carpenters, A Moveable Feast, Steppenwolf, and The Red Hot Chili Peppers, of course.

Algo increíble que he hecho

I feel my most most amazing moment is a tie between taking a nap on the Taj Mahal and walking through the ancient jungle ruins of Angkor Wat in Cambodia, seeing pieces of lifetimes past that I wish everyone will hopefully see at some point in their own lifetime. Spent time in Cairns this past summer and I must say scuba diving the Great Barrier was a feat as well. Love that Daintree Rainforest.

I lived abroad, in Japan, for 3 years, and love helping people with English as a second language to realize that English is nothing to be afraid of, and making mistakes is part of learning the most important things in life. Also, if you like writing music reviews for the newspaper, I really enjoy expressing my vernacular and try to write often for my school and local community.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

I have a living room and internet and a kitchen. There is a couch and a fold out single futon. Good location and not far from the beach. I live with my younger sister who is pretty chill with just about anything. We share a bathroom but it is not an inconvenience. Quiet neighborhood with chill bars and restaurants within walking distance. I am near Fourth Street restaurants and shopping and at within walking distance to downtown and Second Street. I don't have my profile as accepting surfers because I cannot have that many due to being a teacher and having to grade a lot and plan a lot at home. But message me if you really need a place.
