About Me

Since I was 18 I've been on a constant life cycle of getting a minimum wage, dead end job, working all the time, saving lots of money and then spending it on all glorious travelling! It's a cycle I'm hoping to break but I say that every year. Then a new dream always comes along and distracts me but I haven't figured life out yet and it's been pretty good so far so I'm just going to keep enjoying the world while I can!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After doing a solo trip through S.E.Asia I realised what I was really missing was truly getting to know the people in the countries I was visiting. Spending three months couchsurfing across the USA was a travel dream for me. To me, travelling is 75% the people and I want to meet all the crazy, wonderful people that I'm sure are as diverse as the country. That means you!

Interests

Exploring new places, saying yes to pretty much anything to have new experiences, being positive, laughing a lot, cycling as much as possible because I don't at home, forcing my love upon animals as again none at home! Eating, eating, eating.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books - I always have a book (big library fan, they're free!) but no favourite author or genre. As long as it's well written, and not chick lit then I'm happy!

Movies - going to completely contradict myself now and list my favourite chick flicks! Could kick myself. Notting Hill, hands down winner of all time. "I'm just a girl, standing in front of a boy..." you know it!

Music - lately Dolly Parton. Dolly mad! And First Aid Kit - Swedish folksy heaven. I like all sorts, I'm not an expert in music so completely open to being introduced to all things new.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't want to blow my own horn but I did pass my driving test. 5th time lucky!

Teach, Learn, Share

My first big adventure in couch surfing was through the states. Couch surfing shows you a side to a city that you'd never know existed otherwise, aswell as making a new friend. The perfect combination.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Maybe my banana bread recipe. As many travel stories as you like! Hopefully a good time!
