ABOUT ME

I am excited, spontaneous and adventurous. After my first solo adventure during a semester in Montreal several years ago, I love traveling more than ever. The world is a huge place with lots to explore, but friends that I make on my trips have a magical way of narrowing distance between continents, cultures and languages.

I am currently working in a bank (I know, boring) hence do not get to go on extended holidays as often as I would like to. But I think scarcity enhances the value of such experiences - and when I do get to travel, I never take the opportunity to venture into somewhere new for granted. As a result I always put on what they call "holiday gains" from eating all the local food and doing almost everything the locals do.

Intereses

I am an ENFP and have very many interests ranging from photography, reading, cooking, running, hiking, diving, travelling (of course) and eating (yes, I am a Singaporean so naturally eating counts as an interest).

Though an accountancy and finance major, I am fascinated with theatre, writing, making music and the outdoors. Being a city dweller, I love to escape into the grand expanse of nature whenever I travel, but I also enjoy exploring the cityscape – soaking in the sights and smells (and food... especially spicy food!!). I try to to learn the language of the place I am visiting (especially if the trip is more than 2 weeks) and love to meet locals who are patient enough to not mind conversing with me in my unpolished Spanish or German.

Música, películas y libros

I find myself listening to tunes from Bruno Major and Honne on long bus rides. But after a hard day of work I like to put on some Pink Martini and Stacey Kent.

My favourite movie is Moulin Rouge, followed closely by Les Mis, La Vita e Bella, Gone Girl and probably Toy Story. La Casa de Papel (Money Heist) doesn't count as a movie (it's a 3 part series on Netflix) but I highly recommend it if you have not watched.

I love reading but I am never reading enough. Don't have a favourite book but I enjoy The Kite Runner.

My whole life is amazing... But alright, if I were to single out the one highlight of my life so far, it would have to be skydiving in Vegas (my arm snapped right out of my shoulder mid-dive but I'm all good now, I think!)
