About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Explore new places, eat/make delicious food and share stories with inspiring people.
ABOUT ME
I'm a big hugger and a good listener. I fantasize a lot about future adventures...sometimes it prevents me from being present but I'm working on that. I'm in transition right now...trying to learn as much as I can from people, places and things. Attempting to discover that which inspires me the most. I like what I've found so far.
Jordan is the sweet man by my side. Here he is: https://www.couchsurfing.com/users/2680536/profile.
PHILOSOPHY
Be good to people. Listen well. Make amazing food and take the time to share it with friends. Question many things. Take risks. Laugh at yourself.
Interests
I'm currently in love with cooking and eating delicious food. To me it is meditative and relaxing, a wonderful creative outlet. Give me a glass of wine or beer, fresh ingredients, the smell of garlic sizzling in olive oil, and some interesting conversation and I'm happy cooking for hours. My lovely partner Jordan has taught me the joy of experimenting with food and following my instincts in the kitchen, and I continue to learn new techniques from him every day.
Goats are adorable and I want to snuggle with them. Right now I only have a few months of goat milking experience under my belt, and can't wait to spend more time with these intelligent, hilarious animals. I love love love cheese and have dabbled in cheese-making at home.
I often fantasize about building a tiny house on wheels. I am a bit of a minimalist and enjoy the freedom and simplicity inherent in living in a tiny space.
Hiking, biking, and walking are great, especially if done with someone who appreciates occasional lulls in conversation, wandering in random directions, and just being there in that moment. I love finding places in the world that remind me to slow down.
I also enjoy naps.

Teach, Learn, Share
I want to learn how to build things (tiny houses, natural/earth-sheltered buildings, furniture, random little tools and other useful objects, etc.) I have a bit of gardening and vegetable farming experience, but would love to develop more of a green thumb, and learn more about medicinal herbs and plants. In general I want to learn how to live off of the land and be self-sufficient.
I can share what knowledge I have about cooking, making cheese, canning and preserving foods...so mostly kitchen-related activities. I can teach you a bit of Spanish, although I've forgotten a lot since I lived in Dominican Republic in 2009. So it would be great for me to practice too!
