About Me

Hi there fellow Couchsurfers!

I returned to the United States to help with caretaking my grandparents during the pandemic. Before that I had been living abroad during the past 15 years; in Spain, France, Austria and Korea.

I am an artist, trained in visual arts and environmental studies. I draw, paint, and work with ceramics. Most recently, I have been delving into performance art, singing and dancing. I do a lot of improvisational singing and storytelling. Many of my artworks are inspired by environmental issues.

I am dedicated to the spiritual path in a non-dogmatic way. I have been practicing yoga for twenty years. In 2018 I completed a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training with Satya Loka. I taught classes in-person up until the pandemic hit.

This past year in the US I took classes in anatomy, physiology, psychology and kinesiology. I will begin a 500 hour breath work facilitator online course in January!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'll be heading down to Oaxaca de Juarez to do a Workaway exchange for three months this Winter. I am planning on spending a week or two on the coast of Oaxaca before I begin the exchange and thought that Couchsurfing could be an excellent way to travel and get to know local people!
