ABOUT ME

I want to build a world where we grow gardens and use candles and play instruments. Where man-made chemicals don't suffocate us and where we bike... even long distances, which may cause us to surf couches more often and meet more people that are similar and different from ourselves.

Teach, Learn, Share

My husband Nicolas Melas, three sons, and I (and any roommates currently with us) are trying to live "post-fossil-fuel". Our house, Downstream Project, is an urban homesteading life experiment of growing our own food, cooking and heating with wood, biking/walking/public transport to get where we need to go, etc. We'd be excited to learn from anyone that has experience in any of the off the deep end things we're doing and we're excited to share what we're learning.
