I am an opera singer, and thus will be traveling all over the world for auditions. In theory. Hopefully.

ABOUT ME

I am a musician, first and foremost. I sing opera and play the pipe organ, and am in graduate school for vocal performance. I studied philosophy and music during my undergrad, and enjoy studying biology for fun. One day I would like to get my PhD in Biomusicology at Mid-Sweden University. I live with my boyfriend who is also a musician (drummer). I'm a vegan, I enjoy rock climbing, and I like bad sci-fi movies.

PHILOSOPHY

I most closely resemble a preference utilitarian, but I also enjoy indulgences, so I'm no Peter Singer. I find different cultures fascinating, and I love to learn.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, once when I was in Tanzania, I got sick at a Chinese restaurant and had to get a ride back to the UAACC compound where I was staying. To my surprise, the guy who picked me up was Geronimo Pratt! Mr. Pratt was a high-ranking member of the Black Panthers back in the 60's and was wrongfully imprisoned for murder. Once acquitted after 10 years in prison, he was paid restitutions by the US government. He now has a small mansion in Arusha. He's a wonderfully kind man who gave me apple juice while I tried not to puke in the back of his Land Rover.
