About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To boldly go where. . .okay a thousand tourists have before me, but I'll do it with more pizzazz and joie de vive.

ABOUT ME

I am a writer and explorer and am embarking on a mission to experience the rest of the world. Together with fellow couchsurfer, photographer and best friend, Mark Taylor, I am taking off for Southeast Asia in January and in May will head down the length of Central and South America. You can follow my travels through my writing, photography and webcasts at www.quarterlifeadventure.com. I'm looking forward to meeting you!

PHILOSOPHY

I have been blessed with the opportunity to explore this world we live in and I intend to do just that. I relish the beauty of nature and the divinity that it describes. I want to discover the lessons that each person has to teach me and impart unknowingly what I have to teach them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've breakfasted, had drinks, met people in my own town and am now available to host. Kansas City is a great city and I love to show new people around.

Interests

I dance Argentine Tango. I'm a writer, so literature is an easy but real passion of mine. I love good red wine, good aged cheese, sushi and single malt scotch. Travel is obviously a passion, and I'm hoping to turn it into a vocation as well. Music feeds me and I love finding the local music scene. I'm a sucker for great museums, local artisans and finding the most authentic experience in a place, whether that's a street market or a coffee shop that only the locals go to. I'm a traveler, not a tourist.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

4 am Morgestrach in Basel, Switzerland for Fasnacht. The sun rising over Buenos Aires as I stumble home, makeup smeared from the milonga. The cool of water spilling into my mouth from a spring fed stream that runs through a temple in Kyoto. My parents' house on Christmas morning, warm and full of life. I am spoiled with my experiences and still greedy for more.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you Argentine Tango. I've been dancing for five years and it has opened my whole world.

Countries I’ve Visited
