Overview
About Me
I'm a student living in LA. I grew up in California, USA, specifically the Bay Area. I still think of Oakland as home and miss the food, people, and energy of the city. I also lived in Togo for three years as a Peace Corps Volunteer. My favorite country I've visited is Mexico-- starting with border hopping trips as a child, then studying abroad in DF, and many adventures in the southeast.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe in the spirit of couchsurfing-- namely that when you travel it's about much more than a passport stamp; although a full passport is a beautiful thing. I prefer immersing in a place and seeing it through the eyes of someone who lives there over recommendations from a Lonely Planet guide book any day.
Interests
Travel (kind of a no-brainer), internet cat pictures, new recipes using local ingredients, long meals with good friends, and sometimes the beach.
