About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I would like to meet people who love traveling as much as I do.

ABOUT ME

I graduated with my undergrad a few years ago and now starting to apply for doctoral programs in political science. I just completed a graduate certificate degree in project monitoring and evaluation. I also got married at the beginning of this year (2016). I have backpacked throughout Europe. Lived in Uganda for several months, and lived in Indonesia for a year and a half. I love traveling, learning languages, and working in the fields of international development and gender studies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I just recently went to Rwanda and that trip has left an amazing impression on me. I went to some genocide sites and was deeply moved by the history of that tragedy. We then went to Lake Kivu and got on a local boat that took us around the lake. We all jumped in unprepared for swimming but had a blast anyway. Then on the way back, we wanted a group picture in front of the beautiful scenery and found at the bottom of the hillside this group of local dancers and singers. They were young kids synchronized in beautiful motions. We joined them in dance and it was one of the most exhilarating experiences of my life.

Another amazing moment was when I went skydiving. It was quite the thrill to jump from a small plane and free fall for a minute. I couldn't breathe the entire time I was free falling, which was a little freaky, but so neat getting the slightest sense of what it would feel like to fly. I loved it and hope to go again.

Countries I’ve Visited

Anguilla, England, France, Italy, Poland, Rwanda, Saint Martin (French part), Sint Maarten (Dutch part), Uganda, Ukraine

Countries I’ve Lived In
