ABOUT ME

I love places where you can get around with a bike or on foot. I play a kazoo, finger cymbals and a few guitar chords (I want to learn more). I like to read books and listen to all different kinds of music and radio shows. I love all of the different little pockets of life around cities, especially all the little green spaces. I like when people don't categorize themselves and are willing to try new things, or simply don't try new things, because it feels good to them not to. I like sincerity in people.

PHILOSOPHY

Living on the edges between comfort and discomfort allows for more possibility/learning.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

While I was in Israel I met a bunch of CSers these who were a great group of people, so I figured I may as well be one myself.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I met CouchSurfers around Israel, since it's a small country with an active group of traveling, bumming, surfing citizens of the world. They're good people and so I decided to join forces with them and keep at it as I travel around the globe.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm reading a bunch of books right now but focusing on The Devil in The White City in honor of my move to Chicago. Into the DFW at the moment too. Movies...my soft spots are for When Harry Met Sally, Reality Bites, and Singles and Mrs. Doubtfire. I love funk, jazz, indie bands, some punk, folk, electronic, bluegrass and whatever I hear that sounds/feels right at the time.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to do a head stand (and a tri-pod), sun salutations and other yoga asanas, how to sew by hand and with machine, how to tweeze an eyebrow, how to draw. I will dance like a five year old with you. I can tell you bedtime stories and good morning stories, and teach you songs about all sorts of things. I'd be happy to cook something delicious and healthy. I will excavate the contents of your pockets to reaveal your most miniature of stories, and I would love to listen if you have a thought, a hypothesis, an idea...etc, to share.
