About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoying!

ABOUT ME

I am new to couch surfing. I have had friends with great experiences though which keeps me curious with the whole thing. I just spent the past year living in Thailand and Bali. I was teaching English in Thailand and then took some scuba diving courses afterwards in Thailand and Bali. I learned a lot from the journey and loved it, but am happy to be at home for now. Enjoying the luxurious lifestyle again (aka hot water and wi-fi!, etc etc). Right now I am enjoying being back on the river/bay again, reading, catching up with my much missed friends and family, and having an income! For now I'm not sure what I will be doing next. Trying to learn to be OK and happy about that as well. Always looking for new and inspiring things! Now that I am back I want to learn more about photography and work on my Spanish.

PHILOSOPHY

A friend recently gave me this quote which fits for now....

"May today there be peace within. May you trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith in yourself and others."

I love this.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiked the Napali coast. Learned more from my Thai students than I ever thought possible. Saw ancient Mayan ruins in Belize. Swam with dolphins in Hawaii. Working on an organic Kona coffee farm. Diving with manta rays in Thailand. Taking a motorbike trip around Bali and seeing all the different faces. Developing close relationships with locals in Thailand and Bali who almost feel like family now. Seeing how my experiences have molded me and have made me grown. Witnessing selfless acts in other parts of the world which always seem to amaze me...
