ABOUT ME

We grew up in Indiana and relocated to Arizona about 4 years ago. We've been married for almost 6 years and have a cat, dog and some fish. We spend most our time with friends, hiking, camping, backpacking, traveling, watching movies, listening to music, eating new foods at restaurants, and hanging out at our usual places. We love learning about different cultures, visiting new places and getting to know new people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We have couched while travelling up to Montana, and had some people stay with us at our house as well.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have hosted and been hosted a few times, and always enjoy making new friends. We think the best way to experience any culture is by getting to know the people and staying with them. We've stayed on farms in Iceland and even an with Amish family in Ohio.

Some books: Jon Krakauer books are maybe about the only books we agree upon. Zach is more into non-fiction and Rachel fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We once slept in the middle of nowhere in the West Fjords of Iceland, on the coast, right next to an unnamed waterfall. It was amazing, except I put my sleeping bag on a bee's nest. Nothing to do with couch surfing, but an amazing experience anyways.
