Well, I'm a Canadian trying to be a Coloradon who wants to be a Californian long term. Anyways.

I'm your run-of-the-mill Canadian; friendly, apologetic, and perpetually confusing gas station attendants with my request for the "washroom." I'm an animal-loving veggie eater and can make a few mean vegan dishes on demand. Host me, and I'll cook you some sort of delight. I'm a bleeding heart for almost every cause; it's pretty much a guarantee that if a cashier asks for a donation, they are going to get my money. I career coach and train on my off hours. In need of a resume or some career advice? I'm also a great guest to host!

I'm currently on the move with my lovely friend featured in my profile photo. She digs around in data, plays that crazy sport ultimate frisbee, and is one of the nicest humans that exists. We're guaranteed great couchies. I love to learn about the local area and see the inside scoop from those who know the in and out of the place I'm visiting. I'm not just looking for a place to stay, I'm looking for new friends from far and wide!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted several couch surfers in the past and have surfed on a few couches. I've been able to stay in contact with some peeps and that's been fabulous. I bring enthusiastic energy to each surfing experience.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted fabulous people and have hung out with numerous of my friend's cool couchies. I have couch surfed in Colorado, had surfers from even more exotic locales, and enjoyed an experience in Jackson Wyoming! I've made some great friends who I adore to this day and I can't wait to add some new friends to my rolodex of fun memories!

Interessi

I spend most of my hours out of the office on a roller derby track in south Denver. I play with Denver Roller Derby and if you ever want to meet up and see some of the top 1% roller derby talent in the world, I'm the gal to hang out with.

I help people navigate career changes and transitions and help them ace their job search and land into that next role. I love watching people grow professionally as they move into the right role for them and am always willing to share some advice on that. I enjoy donating coaching hours to various non-profits and good causes to help fundraise and those needing career support.

I don't like to cook, but I'm good at it and consider it an act of service that shows appreciation to a host. If you'd rather do mock interviews or write a LinkedIn profile, I'd be that much more obliged but I enjoy showing appreciation in either way all the same.

Musica, film e libri

Drum n' Bass is what most frequently makes my music rotation. I frequently listen to early 2000s hardcore, 80s & 90s punk, and top 40 when it isn't lame. I enjoy books focusing on incarceration and social justice issues and am currently reading a novel on how humankind would benefit from a belief system based on communism instead of spirituality--let's talk about the details behind the argument. I don't have much attention span for movies, but I do love all things Star Trek from TNG, Voyager, & Deep Space 9.

I've seen the lighthouses on Martha's Vineyard and enjoyed a private beach. I have seen the Grand Tetons in Wyoming and the Empire State Building in New York. I have seen endless prairies and star filled nights. I have seen northern lights that have lit up the entire sky and laid out in fields seeing nothing but the most beautiful clouds while feeling the breeze through my hair. I've helped CTOs build up their workforce, placed parolees in roles meant for them, met and been with some beautiful people, and created my life out of bricks built from my life's experiences.

...I know that's supposed to be one thing, but we have only one life, so that's close, right?
