I like hearing people’s stories especially how you think about the world. I love animals. I work out a lot, CrossFit, yoga, Orange Theory, running, Hyrox, you name it. I work in tech/epidemiology startup and it makes me happy because I get to build software that does good things.

I really like making people happy.

I’m a good cook and baker, and sadly now that I’m mostly AirBNB-hopping baking equipment is very hit or miss sometimes! I particularly enjoy accommodating people’s preferences when I cook for them. I try to be conscientious with what I eat but I don’t follow a strict diet. I don’t eat meat and try to go easy on eggs and dairy but mostly just trying to be thoughtful about it.

To be honest I’m not a very high energy person and like connecting over a tea and chatting, or going for a walk. Not big on loud places, bars and clubs.

I like board games!

I have a hard time answering when people ask where I come from 😆 Born in Moscow to an eastern-European mutt family, left the county at 14 - did high school and college in Boston US, then traveled around, then lived in Vancouver Canada, then Toronto Canada and now 🤷‍♀️

Music - a little bit of everything. I'm not knowledgeable or picky with music. I like gentle jazz, I often have studio Ghibli soundtracks on the background. Sometimes I'll put on electronic instrumentals while working. I like some classics like Pink Floyd, Beatles, Leonard Cohen. Elton John. I like Phil Ochs. I like Stokes. I like that one MGMT album everyone knows. I like some Pete Yorn. I like music that makes me feel good.

I'm one of that giant group of people who've stopped reading much after college and regrets it desperately. I keep looking to read more. I like sci fi of all kinds. I'm more well-read in Russian because for a long time I would read Russian books not to lose my grip of the language.

I watch more shows than movies. But in general, I watch good movies regardless of genre, and then I watch some mediocre romcoms and scifi because I like those stories. Action movies need to be fantastic for me to happily watch it. I loved Pay it Forward, Good Will Hunting, Pulp Fiction, God Bless America, Across the Universe, Her.
