ABOUT ME
Lets see i've already said so much so...I'm Conrad, formally known as...Conrad. I love to be active which can get me in trouble, one example of this is when my best friend Kai taught me how to do a back flip on his trampoline. It was great I was doing it and getting pretty good, then I went out the next day and tried to perfect the technique, can anyone guess what happened? Yep you got it, landed on the back of my head and broke my neck. By the grace of god and the power of drinking 4 gallons of milk a week I did not get perminantly injured from this incident. Oh yeah, im kind of a super optamist, as in one thought that actually went through my head when I was strapped to a board in the hospital from breaking my neck was that, "hey, I could be a good poster child for quadrapeligics"...yeah so even in what may seem like the darkest times I always seem to find some light. I believe American society is overrated, yes there are a great many things in our nation but there is so much more and better things we could and should be doing with the resources we have available. Our children are growing up learning that if you own a big house, with a hot wife, and a fast car you will be content with life but people need to understand that there are better things in this world. Materialism is killing the brotherhood that we were ment to live with. Now I know im not perfect, and I have done many things in my life that make me hippocrate to what I am saying but the only way for me to change my actions is to realize my faults. And on a lighter note i'm a happy person, all of this has sounded like I am an overly objective person but in truth I like to get along. I am not a person who will sit there and debate someone all day, I am open to see anyones opinion, I might not agree but I will always listen. :)
Interests
I love any sport that involves a Frisbee. Baseball, Basketball, Ultimate Frisbee, Disc golf. I exercise a lot because I enjoy it. I sing, I used to sing at CMU but have no time for that any more. I absolutely love art in any form, I danced ballet for 8 years, sang for 9, just started writing poetry of many different kinds and have appreciated visual arts my whole life. I love kids which is one of the reasons Im going to teach elementary ed. Obviously I like to travel. Deep conversations about mind expanding topics. Reading, Writing, Looking at stars, Nature, Camping, Canoeing, Hanging out with friends, Beach, and about a million other things but ill get to those later.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books:
I just started reading Allen Ginsberg because of an NPR special I listened too and am enjoying every second of it. I love fiction so naturally the whole Harry Potter series is a great read, along with Brian Jacques, and The Lord of the Rings. This summer I am catching up on my classical literature with some James Joyce, Shakespeare, Poe, Elliot, and whatever else I can read from the library.
Movies:
Some of my favorites: Gattaca, Snatch, Gladiator, City of Angels, City of God, Boondock Saints, Forest Gump, Seven Years in Tibet, Top Gun, American Beauty, What Women Want, Fight Club, Moulin Rouge, Braveheart, The Green Mile, and the Matrix 1.
Music:
My taste in music is very diverse from Opera to Rap, the only music would say that I have a hard time appreciating would be country music. I only like maybe 5 or 10 country songs. Other then that a few of my favorite are The Smashing Pumpkins, Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer, and Mae. I would sit here and list all the bands I listen to but I have like 3 or 4 thousand songs on my computer so that might take a while.
