About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Midland Pirate looking to Sail the Seven Seas

ABOUT ME

I'm tall, thin, dry humoured and erratic.

I love meeting strangers and finding out about people. I am an excellent host who will bend over backwards (so to speak) for my guest.

PHILOSOPHY

My philosophy for life is just to live.

I've always had a passion for travel and the world around me. In the area of the UK that I am from, everything revolves around money and how much of it you can claim is yours. Some people will go to the greatest possible inconvenience to achieve convenience, I don't want any part of that. I want to see the world and its people before all the natural beauty and kind souls have been washed away by the tide of fear, ignorance, mistrust and doubt that is spreading through the world like a wildfire!

So each day, when I see the sun for the first time I am glad that all that I do, and want to do with my life is live.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have yet to couch surf myself, but I look forward to the first time.

Interests

My interests range wildly from fire breathing and circus skills to survival training and geology.

I am a geek at heart and I love useless triva. My interest lie with the Natural Sciences and the outdoors. I love to travel and to meet those who have likewise travelled.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a recreational reader and some of my favourite authors are: Bill Bryson, Michael Palin, Stephen King, Jules Vern, C.S. Lewis, H.G. Wells and Douglas Adams, to name a few!

My music tastes are varied as I tend to like only a couple of songs by one artist, but this can range from really cheesy Pop music to Scandinavian Black Metal.
Since I decided to travel without an iPod or MP3 player I'd happily appreciate any music to help break the serenade of howling dogs and Taxi horns.

When it comes to movies I'm a simple man to please. From Bollywood to BritComs, I will watch them all.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The stars of the southern hemisphere when I was staying in a lodge in Pilansburg national game park, South Africa.

No lights for miles it was a breath taking event to see.

Countries I’ve Visited

Czech Republic, France, India, Malaysia, South Africa

Countries I’ve Lived In

United Kingdom
