STEPPING OUT OF COMFORT ZONE

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I just want to meet more and more wonderful people all over the world, learn about their cultural background, learn about their traveling and life experiences, and tell them something about myself and my experience in return. I would love to make many new friends with whom I could share all the interesting international things that come to my mind and they might be interested in!
CS is an amazing thing that I am so grateful for! I have met so many good people and had so many incredible/fun/crazy experiences. Never stay in a hotel alone, do CS!!

“Traveling solo does not always mean you’re alone. Most often, you meet marvelous people along the way and make connections that last a lifetime.” – Jacqueline Boone

Music, Movies, and Books

Oh, I like any kind of music, I listen mostly to songs which you can hear on a radio or at clubs. So, I usually have no idea what the names of songs are or who sings them, but I think it is pretty mainstream stuff like pop etc. On the other hand, I would love to see a jazz or country concert. For you maybe boring, for me a new experience.

Books! I loved reading Harry Potter and Jaroslav Foglar's books as a kid. Other books I really enjoyed were: Fahrenheit 451 , Animal Farm, Saturnin, Maryša, Těžká hodina, Closely Watched Trains, A Prayer for Katerina Horovitzova, and Karel Čapek's work.
However, nowadays I have been reading mostly just books related to psychotherapy, counseling, psychology or criminology. I love Oliver Sacks and Irvin Yalom... But I need to start reading something normal again! But what. I am sure you can give me some tips.

Movies? Of course! I enjoy dramas A LOT, e.g. The Help, Crash, The Godfather, A Beautiful Mind, Juno, Precious, K-PAX, American History X, Requiem for a Dream, Donnie Darko, or Edward Scissorhands. I also like scary movies - Alien, The Silence of the Lambs, Jaws, The Ring, REC, Sinister. Another great movies - Shutter Island, TheWolf of Wall Street or Inception - yes I do like Leonardo!
Finally, I enjoy watching "Marvel"/comics - mostly Batman and X-men movies.

TV SERIES! - Orange is the New Black, The Big Bang Theory, Two Broke Girls, American Horror Story, Homeland, HIMYM, South Park, The Suits, Greys Anatomy and my favorite FRIENDS!! :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Created a CS account!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you very useful languages, i.e. Czech, Slovak (lol), or basics of German :) You can improve my English in return.
I can also teach you how to make fun of people? If you like to learn about food, I could teach you how to cook some basic Czech-ish food.

Teach ME: Arabic or Spanish!! Love these languages, I know approximately 5 words in Arabic, I forgot most of it. And I studied Spanish for a semester and I loved it - I would love to keep working on it though.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My delicate sense of humor, my central/eastern European personality, customs, history, languages, fun experiences, night-long conversations, going out, drinking, dancing, reading, whatever! I like to cook for my hosts.
