ABOUT ME
Well, I was born and raised in Pilsen (Czech Republic), Mecca of all the beer lovers. After finishing my studies, I got the opportunity to come to Majorca with a Leonardo da Vinci scholarship. After one year with this scholarship on this beautiful island, I decided to stay somewhat longer. And surprisingly, I haven't left yet (except for my trips).
I could continue telling you about how great person I really am, but I'm sure you will find out by yourself... ;)
PHILOSOPHY
"happiness only real when shared"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My CS experience started with attending CS events, especially the regular meetings. Then I realized that there are so many people who would enjoy doing mountain excursions, so I've organized couple of hiking trips in the Tramuntana mountain chain here in Mallorca, as I know it very well. Next step was showing this CS world to my not CS friends, who at the end ended up joining this amazing community. And at the moment, I'm ready to host the others in my house and also I'm about to experience what is it like to be a surfer as well! :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far, so good!
Interests
I love to travel, meet new people and get to know new cultures (I know, who on this site doesn't?). I try to spend my free time as much as possible doing outdoor sports, basically hiking, running, kayaking, swimming, skiing and cycling. Apart of that, I have other hobbies as photography, architectural design and computers.

Music, Movies, and Books
The best movies for me are the ones which can surprise you, the ones you don't expect them to be anything special and you end up stunned. Just couple of examples: Terrence Malick's "The new world", Gareth Edwards' "Monsters", Krzysztof Kieslowski's "La Double vie de Veronique" and the document about Kilian Jornet, "A fine line. Summits of my life".
I like many types of music, but recently I just can't stop listening to "IAMX".
Due to the lack of time I don't read books that much, but I think the one I liked more was George Orwell's "1984".
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'd like to think I've done more than just one amazing think in my life, but if I had to choose just one, I'd say collaborating as volunteer with Respiralia foundation, which works with people with cystic fibrosis, would be it! Every summer for the last four years, in my kayak I've been accompanying about 250 swimmers attending to the famous "La vuelta a Formentera nadando contra la fibrosis quistica" (Swimming around Formentera against cystic fibrosis) and looking after them, helping Respiralia to raise money for the investigation, while trying to find the cure for this terrible disease.
Teach, Learn, Share
I enjoy learning new things from the others and overcoming challenges.
